Professor Michael Humphrey, professor at the University of Sydney, Department of Sociology and Social Policy, was guest at the Global Governance unit from mid-October until end of November 2016. His research focusses on large scale social change and the governability of social life, themes including migration, multiculturalism, terrorism, human rights, and transnational governance. During his time at the WZB, he was working on ‘Neoliberal urbanisation and the urban governance of inequality in Latin America: Citizen insecurity’.
